3 Drawings
For this project, the subject matter I'm exploring is the idea of reflection - reflection of light, color, images, etc. I used the picture of sunglasses as inspiration for my first drawing; I tried to make it so that you see sunglasses, and the only way you're seeing the scene is through the reflection on the sunglasses. For my second piece, I used the picture of the mountains reflecting on water as a reference for my drawing, and I tried to emulate the reflected image in the photograph using black and white and middle tones. For my third drawing, I used the reflection of light off of shiny objects as the basis of my piece, and I found a computer-generated picture of a faucet in order to accomplish this idea. My goal is to use more of a variety of tones in order to create a less stylized, more realistic version of what I'm trying to draw, even if it's just parts of the object of reference.
