Week 14 Project 3

3 Drawings
This week, I continued my theme of reflection of light and finding reflection in/on everyday objects, and I again took pictures of things around the art room in order to demonstrate this "ordinary" setting.  I wanted to really make the light's reflections stand out and contrast with the surrounding drawing, so I focused on using a wider range of tones, with the darker tones being really dark and the lightest tones being really white so that you can understand the reflection of light in the pieces.  I also tried to make the shiny objects (the ones reflecting the light) stand out from the background in order to further highlight this reflection of light.  For example, in the first drawing, I tried to make the metal parts of the clip look shiny, smooth, and reflective, whereas I tried to make the background look less smooth and more scratchy/texturized without the reflective quality of the metal.
