Classwork

I drew this in order to demonstrate the way light reflects off of the clear outside of a lightbulb, and also reflects images around it. It's kind of like a bubble, which I think is cool because on a bubble all you are seeing is the environmental image being reflected off of a round, clear surface.

This piece was inspired by the Rorschach ink blot idea along with Jackson Pollock's splatter paintings, so I used both ideas to create a piece that has physical reflection but also random splattered marks.

This is just a piece of paper I had behind my pieces when I was working on other drawings, but I liked the marks on it, so I am using it as possible inspiration for markmaking in another piece.

I wanted to practice using different shades while also filling in space and using the whole page for my drawing, so I took a picture of a faucet and did a quick drawing using pastels and a wet sponge.
