Week 10 Project 3

3 Drawings
This week, I focused more on creating abstract pieces based on the idea of reflection. For the first drawing, I tried to convey the beauty of a sun's reflection on the water as it is setting, and I used really dark black for the sky and water and white to bring out the sun and its reflection. In my second piece, I thought about sound waves and their unique ability to bounce or reflect off of things, so I created an abstract piece based on the reflection of sound waves. For my third piece, I used the reflection of the moon on the water to inspire a piece with a sort of misty, unknown feeling to it, with the moon clearly outlined and its reflection barely visible as it fades away. In this project, I am aiming to explore different types of reflections and create pieces of reflection or inspired by reflection. I think the idea of reflection is incredible, and I am amazed at the fact that it can be seen anywhere and everywhere. Images can be reflected; light can be reflected; sound can be reflected, and all of these off of almost any surface. Also, reflection has multiple meanings, being an abstract concept as well, which I will also incorporate into my drawings as the project progresses.
