3 Drawings
This week I took pictures of objects that had reflections and drew them I n order to demonstrate the fact that reflections are everywhere and are not always what one thinks of when one thinks of a "stereotypical reflection." I used charcoal, pastel, and a wet sponge in order to creat the drawings of the faucet handle and light switch. Each of these drawings is an ordinary object that actually demonstartes either light reflecting off of it (like the faucet handle) or an object itself being reflected (like the light switch). For my other piece, I took more of an abstract approach to the idea of reflection and was inspired by the Rorschach inkblot test, so I used that as the base that unifies the piece (being a symmetrical reflection) and then took ink and added an effect of random, somewhat disorganized marks.
